04 — Process

How we work

01

Scope the outcome

We agree what “done” looks like — the users, the one job, the first shippable slice — before any build starts.

02

Run the monthly service

Short, visible cycles with one team that owns delivery. Scope flexes month to month.

03

Ship proof you can see

Live products on real domains and releases you can see. You keep the code, the accounts and the docs.

Questions, answered.

Straight answers about who we are, what we build and how working with us works.

01

What does Spectrum Web Co do?

Spectrum Web Co is a Software Engineering Collective in Sydney, Australia, that designs, builds and launches SI and Web3 software for teams across the country. The work is sold as three monthly services: Ship a Product for product development, Recruiting & Talent Placement for hiring, and Social Narratives for short-form video, which is launching soon. Each engagement starts with a written monthly scope, and a small senior team owns what it ships, end to end. Spectrum Web Co also builds and runs four live products of its own, KanbanOS, ClippyOS, Desk Lanes and Auctioning, as proof of how it works.

02

Where is Spectrum Web Co based, and does it work remotely?

Spectrum Web Co is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, and works with teams right across the country. Discovery, planning, demos and releases all run remotely, so teams in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional Australia get the same service as a team in Sydney. Intro calls run in an embedded video room on this site, so you can join from any browser, and the booking page shows open times in your own timezone. If you would rather not book a call, the contact form lets you choose a reply by email or by phone, and you can also reach the team on X at @spectrumwebco.

03

What SI and Web3 software does Spectrum Web Co build?

Spectrum Web Co builds four kinds of software: SI agents and agentic workflows, SI features and automations, Web3 and Solana-native products, and modern web apps, dashboards and internal tools. Agentic systems are designed to plan, build and verify their own work while humans keep the irreversible calls. Automations add autonomous operations, assistants and pipelines to the products and teams you already run. On-chain products treat the ledger as the source of truth, and web surfaces are built on Next.js and three.js, including real-time interfaces. It is the same stack Spectrum Web Co’s own four products run on.

04

How do Spectrum Web Co’s monthly services work?

Every Spectrum Web Co engagement runs as a monthly service with a written scope. It starts with a conversation, followed by a scope that states what is included, what ships and what it costs, and paid work begins only once that scope is agreed in writing. Each month the team plans with you, ships work you can see in short cycles, and adjusts the scope as the product earns it. One team owns delivery, and there is no lock-in beyond the current month, so the scope can scale up or down as priorities change.

05

How much does Spectrum Web Co charge for SI and Web3 work?

Spectrum Web Co does not publish a price list, because a product rescue, a first build, an ongoing release rhythm and a hiring retainer are different shapes of work. Instead, you describe what needs to ship or who you need to hire, and we reply with a written monthly scope that sets out what is included, what ships and what it costs. Nothing on the website, and nothing said on an intro call, is a quote or an offer: pricing only ever comes in writing from a person at Spectrum Web Co. To get a number, send a short message or book a 30-minute intro call.

06

Can Spectrum Web Co rescue a stalled or half-built product?

Yes. Taking over stalled builds is one of the most common reasons teams engage Spectrum Web Co. The work starts with a review of what already exists, including the code, documentation and infrastructure, followed by agreement on the first shippable slice rather than a wishlist. That slice is finished, launched on a real domain with monitoring from day one, and followed by a monthly release cadence through the Ship a Product service. You keep ownership of the code, accounts and documentation throughout, so the whole build can move with you at any time.

07

Can Spectrum Web Co help us hire engineers and operators?

Yes. Recruiting & Talent Placement is Spectrum Web Co’s monthly hiring retainer for engineering, product, operations and growth roles, including specialist SI and Web3 talent such as agent engineers, ML practitioners, Solana developers and technical operators. Each role starts with an intake session and a written scorecard, followed by targeted, personal sourcing and interview-ready shortlists with notes on fit and risk. The team stays involved through interviews, references and the offer. Roles can be added, swapped or paused month to month, with weekly progress updates throughout.

08

Who owns the code Spectrum Web Co writes?

You do. Code, accounts and documentation belong to the client from day one of a Spectrum Web Co engagement, and the terms of each engagement are set out in its written agreement. Deployment, domains, monitoring and handover are handled inside the service, and documentation is written as the build progresses, so the whole build can move with you at any time. There is no lock-in: if you ever move the build in-house or to another team, the code, accounts and documentation all go with you.

09

What products has Spectrum Web Co built and launched?

Spectrum Web Co has four live products. KanbanOS is an agentic software-delivery platform that plans work before SI coding agents start and runs delivery on a board humans control. ClippyOS is an operating system for clipping agencies, from raw footage through client sign-off to publishing. Desk Lanes is a public pay-to-rank board for Grok Bots, and Auctioning is a play-to-rank business racing game on Solana. All four were scoped, built and launched by the same team, using the same process Spectrum Web Co runs for clients, and each one is live for anyone to try.

10

What happens on a Spectrum Web Co intro call?

A Spectrum Web Co intro call is a 30-minute video call in an embedded room on this site that you can book for later or start straight away. Ming joins on time, asks about what you are building or who you need to hire, captures the detail and sketches a candidate architecture and first slice as a draft. The call is transcribed but video is not recorded, and Ming never quotes prices or makes commitments. Founder Ove Govender reads every transcript and follows up personally, usually within one business day, with next steps and, where it fits, a written monthly scope.

11

What does a free Spectrum Web Co member account include?

A free Spectrum Web Co member account unlocks members-only guides on how the team scopes, builds and ships SI and Web3 software, and lets you request access to private repositories in the swcstudiospace GitHub organisation. Repository access is personal, approved request by request and can be revoked. Sign-up takes seconds with Google, X, an email magic link, a mobile number or a Solana or Ethereum wallet, with no passwords to manage. Wallet sign-in only signs a message: it cannot move funds, and Spectrum Web Co will never ask for a private key or seed phrase.

12

How do we start working with Spectrum Web Co?

The quickest way to start with Spectrum Web Co is to book a 30-minute intro call, send a message through the contact page, or reach the team on X at @spectrumwebco. Tell us what needs to ship, who you need to hire or the story you want told, and choose a reply by email or by phone. You receive a clear written monthly scope covering what is included, what ships and what it costs, and most engagements kick off within days of that scope being agreed.
